Please ignore how long it’s been, thank you.
This was one of the tracks I wanted to share after the Alien Trilogy one, so might as well start with this one, yeah?
This is another from a game I’ve never played, but I’ve watched people play it! Not quite the same, but eh, close enough.
As the title of the game suggests, this is a sequel to Jurassic Park. Alternate continuity, anyhow, seeing how The Lost World: Jurassic Park has nothing in common with it. Such as Isla Nublar exploding. Anyway. The plot (you need to read the game’s manual to get all of it, as the opening cinematic doesn’t explain everything) is thus: BioSyn is trying to seize control of the park. Hammond has sent in his own team to stop them. The soldier you control as Player One is… Alan Grant, apparently. Sure. Makes sense.
This specific track is used for the mission where you’re tasked with eliminating a velociraptor infestation in one of the facilities. How do you do that? The track title provides all the answers. It’s also pretty dark in here, and velociraptors are not the only carnivorous dinosaur roaming about. Good luck.
The track itself is a lovely piece of dark ambience. From the distorted bells to that haunting choir, this is not the kind of music to fall asleep to (so naturally, I have). You are not alone in the dark… although the idea that you are is a comforting thought now, isn’t it?
